ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees and coordinates set-up of all Ground Operations requirements per airline activities. Duties shall include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure safety of Omni's passengers crew and equipment in accordance with this manual and industry standard practices
  • Communicate operation information to the Manager of Ground Operations
  • Helps ensure employees on assigned flights are adhering to FAA regulations, safety standards, and company policies
  • Strive to finish assigned flights within the minimum flight turn time
  • Ensure all ground operations employees and vendors working assigned flights are accurately completing their assigned duties
  • Ensure sufficient equipment is available prior to handling a flight
  • Coordinate all ground activity between the ground operations agent, vendors, and customer
  • Pre-plan the loading of baggage, cargo and mail
  • Prepare weight and balance data, collect and compile weight and load distribution data and transmit to flight crew
  • Supervise the loading/offloading of passengers and baggage on OAI aircraft
  • Obtain and complete necessary paperwork
  • Communicate with baggage service office agents regarding mishandled baggage
  • Ensure contract vendors (e.g. catering, cleaning) are adhering to the regulations set by the company, competent local authorities, FAA and TSA are performing contracted services properly
  • Ensures all TSA regulations are complied with and provides Ground Security Coordinator support
  • Communicates flight data and delay information to System Control at OAI HQ
  • Verifies aircraft is stocked with appropriate materials
  • Ensure appropriate local procedures are accomplished in timely manner to ensure schedule integrity, i.e. obtain local approval of ICAO flight plan and secure permission to depart, etc.
  • Support Omni check-in staff and cabin crew in resolving customer complaints in accordance with Omni's policies and applicable training
  • Assist in facilitating crew movement through departure/arrival controls

QUALIFICATIONS

  • MUST obtain a HNL ramp license and DBID for military base access
  • Must hold a valid driver's license
  • Must hold a valid Passport
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must be PC literate
  • Domestic and International travel is required
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year Background/Criminal check and pre-employment drug screen

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years of aviation experience with ramp experience
