Heather Krasna is a career coach with more than 15 years of experience working in higher education career services, as well as the author of "Jobs That Matter: Find a Stable, Fulfilling Career in Public Service" (Jist Publishing, 2010). She serves as the Assistant Dean of Career Services at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health and spends her free time working as a freelance career coach for Nonprofit Professionals Advisory Group, a national executive search firm focused on the nonprofit sector. To date, Heather has helped more than 7,000 people find jobs, and her focus for the last five years has been on nonprofit and government jobs.
